Congratulations on the Rideforafricycle.com !!! The Malawi project is very good and great cause.

I am with the Rotary Club of Whitby and we have done some work with Dr Paul Thistle @ the Salvation Army Howard Hospital in Zimbabwe. They are also interested in providing bicyles to their health care supporters in their area of Zimbabwe. They were one of three hospitals to stay open and serving patients in the past year with all their economic challenges. We have worked with them over the past 7 years and know them well. A number of Peterborough groups have also supported work at the Howard Hospital.

I know we have some avid cyclists in Whitby and I think I could round up a number of them to do the Lake trip if you are doing it again. As well there are is one group planning to ship Medical supplies twice in the comming year to the Howard Hospital via container and I think they could incorporate Bikes in the shipment.

Le t me know if you could consider one or both of these ideas.
Dr Thistle is here until Aug 11th so I could arrange for you to meet him and hear about his work.
